Today I went to the bank and wired the advance money to that programmer in Republic of Moldova. We'll see how that all goes. Then I got my car washed, got new windshield wiper blades, and went to the State University to see about signing up for some classes. What weirdness! They didn't have a class schedule they could give me. They gave me a two year-old catalog so I could read course descriptions and told me to go to their website for everything else. So I did. After searching around their site for half an hour, I found the class schedules. I looked through it and jotted down some classes that looked like they might be what I'm looking for and then went to the catalog to read the course descriptions. None of them were in there. So, some more searching and I found the online course catalog. None of them were in there. So, I've got this list of classes that look interesting from the titles, but I can't find out what they're really about. I figure that, counting tuition, books and gas, taking a class will cost me $1000. I'm not paying out that kind of money without knowing what material the class covers. How do they fill these classes? I guess I'll make some phone calls tomorrow and see if anybody at the college knows what these classes are. If not, there's a private college a little farther away I can check out.
The child spent all the money she was given for Christmas shopping on herself. She presented me tonight with a list of household chores she is willing to perform for specified prices so she can earn more money for Christmas shopping: 1) She will tidy up her bedroom for $15. 2) She will clean her garbage out of the car for $10. 3) She will tidy up my office for $5. 4) She will do the dishes for $20. 5) She will do the laundry for $20. 6) She will clean the house for $40.
I told her I would discuss her list with her mother.
